HST is the annual flagship event organized by Catalyst that aims to bring together stakeholders of Indian startup ecosystem. HST 2018 had a footfall of 200 including 40 startups that got an opportunity to meet the investors. Around 35 eminent speakers included investors, industry experts and government officials who deliberated on a range ofstartup related issues.
The 3rd edition of HST will have a larger scale and outreach. HST this year will again bring together a host of startup experts and provide a gigantic platform to

startups to pitch their idea to investors and for incubation support. In HST 2019, we are expecting around 40 speakers/investors and over 50 startup teams from across the country. Startups will get a chance to network with the investors to raise seed funds and get incubation support at IIT Mandi. Mentor meets will be arranged for one-to-one meeting between startups and experts. Special session with faculty is also being planned for aspiring entrepreneurs seeking technical guidance. Catalyst is anticipating a footfall of over 500 in HST 2019.

HST 2019 will be held on September 14-15, 2019 at picturesque IIT Mandi campus in Kamand valley by the side of river Uhl in Himachal Pradesh.

While the early stage startups will get to learn the rules of the game, operational startups will have a shot at raising funds from investors. Among the fastest growing states in India, Himachal had at a CAGR of 10.8% during the decade 2005-2015. With per capita GSDP 1.5 times the national per capita GDP, the state has tremendous potential for business activity in agriculture, horticulture, biotech, food processing, clean energy, thermal energy, tourism, pharma and healthcare. Government of Himachal Pradesh, through CM Startup Scheme launched in 2017, is also promoting already flourishing startup culture in the state.

HOW TO REACH US



    By Air:

  • The nearest airport to Mandi is the Kullu Airport at Bhuntar, Dharamshala Airport at Gaggal and Chandigarh airport. Flights to Kullu are restricted to only from Delhi, and Shimla.

    • Distance from Bhuntar Airport to Mandi - 75 KM

    • Distance from Gaggal Airport to Mandi - 145 KM

    • Distance from Chandigarh Airport to Mandi - 185 KM


    By Bus:

  • From Delhi or Chandigarh, one can catch the bus from ISBT (Inter State Bus Terminus). There are different varieties of bus facilities from Delhi and Chandigarh - ordinary, deluxe and AC buses. Alternatively, One can also plan to hire a cab or come by personal vehicle.

  • This distance to Mandi can be covered in approximately 12 hrs from Delhi and 6 hrs from Chandigarh (it depends on traffic on the roads or weather conditions) by bus.

    By Taxi:

  • Taxis are stationed outside Mandi main bus stand 24 x 7. The cost of a one-way trip to the IIT campus is about Rs. 600/-


    By HRTC Buses:
  • Himachal Road Transport Corporation/Local buses also ply between Mandi and Kamand. Please note that these buses sometimes can be crowded.
