The Dean’s Office of Resource Generation and Alumni Affairs, IIT Mandi invites partnerships with organizations and individuals interested in investing in the Institute’s mission.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR Rules, 2014) is the initiative taken by corporate giants to integrate social and environmental concerns in their business practices. It is a way through which a company/corporate contributes towards economic, environmental and social development that brings positive impact on society at large.

Your generous contributions would go a long way towards supporting IIT Mandi’s mission to foster innovative research and education initiatives that benefit society. We invite you to get in touch with us to identify and explore causes and projects that would benefit most from your support. Many of these projects fall under the CSR categories listed in the CSR Rules 2014 (Schedule VII). There is no minimum limit for contributions to any project. We also welcome partial funding and joint funding from multiple contributors.

All contributions will be acknowledged appropriately and the necessary receipts and documents for tax purposes will be sent to the contributors within the deadlines for tax purposes as required. Periodic reports will also be sent to the contributors as required. The Dean’s Office of Resource Generation and Alumni Affairs will take responsibility for preparation and submission of necessary documents required by your organization’s CSR Committees. Corporates can contribute in general to IIT Mandi in one of two ways:

1. By Cheque/DD

Contributions can be made via cheque/DD with a covering letter/email stating the name and details of the project. Cheque/DD can be drawn in the name of “Dean of Resource Generation and Alumni Affairs Cell, IIT Mandi” and sent to: Dean Of Resource Generation and Alumni Affairs, Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi.

2. By Wire transfer

Please get in touch with us at doraoffice@iitmandi.ac.in for details of IIT Mandi account for wire transfers as and when appropriate. In the case of wire transfer, a follow-up email stating the purpose, contact details, transaction reference number and any other necessary details in order would be required for administrative purposes.

Donations to IIT Mandi are 100% deductible from Total Taxable Income u/s 80G of the Income Tax Act 1961.

16.	Research Projects	Any amount can be given by the donor towards research projects against submitted proposals. It will also be 100% deductible from taxable income u/s 80G.

Note:

1. Donations to IIT Mandi are 100% deductible from Total Taxable Income u/s 80G of the Income Tax Act 1961.

2. Donor(s) can name the scheme as per his/her/their wish. For example, donor(s) can name a Chair Professorship as “XYZ Chair Professor/XYZ Associate Professor” in his/her/their or any other name.

3. The above-listed schemes are existing. Any other scheme can also be initiated, in consultation with the Institute.

4. Every year, a financial statement showing the opening amount, interest earned, expenditure, and the balance amount shall be emailed to the donor.

5. Every year, the Institute will email the list of beneficiaries to the donor
